The ride will be around Bredon Hill and back with lunch at the Star Inn, Ashton under Hill. Around 40 miles to lunch and 33 back to the Coach & Horses.
PLEASE NOTE: This time the Birmingham Velo route looks set to box in HoECC members.
Most members will live within the road closures - including the Captain. Shirley and Solihull are within the Velo route while our meeting point at Earlswood is outside of it. Therefore you will need to plan your escape through the road closures. Pedestrians pushing a bike should be allowed to cross the route at pedestrian crossing or at road junctions maned by marshals. The Motorways for a car assist to the start is an option, so to is rail or by using the canal towpath where safe.
We should be fine getting back as the eight hour road closures from early morning should be lifted by then. Road closures and timings are on the Velo route detail, see www.velobirmingham.com.
