The London Sightseer Audax starts near Hampton Court and crosses London to the Olympic Velodrome and back again - using cycle lanes, bus lanes, towpaths and 4 or 5 of the Royal Parks for a suprisingly low-traffic ride. It's 105km with very few hills.
A number of members have ridden the event in the past (both the Wednesday and Sunday in September editions) and it's been great fun - seeing London from the saddle of a bike is a bit different!
It means an early start, or a nearby budget "travel tavern" hotel the night before - and car sharing.
