The now traditional "last Wednesday Car Assist before the clocks change" - the destination is Brixworth with a 1000 prompt start at Clifton-on-Dunsmore church car park, to the east of Rugby.
The route will take in a sore neck, a gap, a stately home, spectacular parkland, a heritage railway, a lake and a causeway. The route has few hills of consequence but there are some lanes with poor surfaces and about 1.25 miles of off-road hard-pack surface. Lunch at The Coach & Horses at Brixworth with over 60s lunch offers!
The Captain recognises that points will be lost for a retrace at the start/finish of about 4 miles (necessary for safety reasons) - the retrace may confuse GPS gadgets.
The .gpx file will be available in The Library/Wednesday/Car Assist from Friday 18 October 2019
